The ACC has announced SMU’s 2027 football schedule framework, with the complete schedule and game dates expected in late January. The season will use the conference’s nine-game league format for the second time, with each team also scheduled to play at least 10 games against Power Four opponents.
SMU will begin the season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium. Its home ACC opponents will be Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford. The Mustangs’ conference trips are set for Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke.
Under head coach Rhett Lashlee, SMU has gone 15-2 in ACC competition and remains unbeaten in conference games at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. That is the top ACC record during that span. SMU is scheduled to play at No. 23 Louisville this week. The schedule details were reported by smumustangs.com.
