Nico Collins' status for the Houston Texans' Week 2 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals has not been determined after the wide receiver missed Houston's Thursday and Friday practices with a hamstring injury. He sustained the injury during Wednesday's workout.

Adam Schefter reported that Texans doctors did not consider the problem serious. Ian Rapoport said Friday on *The Pat McAfee Show* that missing two straight practices weakened Collins' chances of playing, while also describing the injury as apparently not serious.

Collins, 27, began the 2026 season with seven catches and 75 receiving yards, plus a touchdown, from 10 targets in Houston's 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He had topped 1,000 receiving yards in each of the prior three seasons.

ClutchPoints.com reported that his status was still unresolved and said he could possibly return for Houston's Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 27 if he misses the Cincinnati contest.
