Key Offensive Surge
The Tampa Bay Rays found their offensive rhythm in the sixth inning, leveraging consecutive home runs to seize control of a tight contest against the Houston Astros. Fortes opened the scoring with a blast to left center, measuring 391 feet, giving Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead. Houston answered immediately, with Alvarez launching a 427-foot homer to right center to tie the game at 1-1.
The momentum shifted decisively in the bottom of the sixth when Caminero homered to left field, a 374-foot shot that put the Rays ahead 2-1. The lead held firm until the eighth inning, where Fortes delivered again. His double to center field drove in Walls, extending the Tampa Bay advantage to 3-1. This final run proved sufficient, as the Rays held off any late Houston rally to secure the victory.
