TCU wide receiver Jordan Dwyer could return from a foot injury when the Horned Frogs open Big 12 play against UCF on Sept. 26. Coach Sonny Dykes provided the update after TCU’s 31-7 win over Arkansas State, saying the team expects Dwyer to play and that his availability would boost the group.
Dwyer has missed TCU’s first three games of the 2026 season, and his status remains unconfirmed beyond the coach’s statement.
Dwyer transferred to TCU from Idaho and was a key offensive contributor in 2025. He started every regular-season game, recording 54 receptions, 730 yards and seven touchdowns. In his first appearance for the Horned Frogs, against North Carolina, he caught nine passes for 136 yards and one touchdown.
During his absence, Ed Small has emerged as one of TCU’s top receiving options. Tight end Kari Ashley also made contributions against Arkansas State, giving quarterback Jaden Craig multiple targets during the opening games. TCU enters conference competition with a 2-1 record.
