The Texans’ Wednesday practice report listed five players as unavailable because of injuries. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was out with a knee issue, while linebacker Jake Hummel and guard Ed Ingram each missed practice because of groin injuries. Tackle Trent Brown was listed with knee and wrist issues.

Wide receiver Nico Collins also remained sidelined with a hamstring injury. He sustained the injury during practice last week and did not play in Houston’s Week 2 loss to the Bengals. The source provided no additional details about the other injuries. Tight end Dalton Schultz was absent for rest rather than an injury.

Three defensive players were limited. Will Anderson Jr. was listed as resting, and Logan Hall and M.J. Stewart each had knee injuries. Safety Reed Blankenship and linebacker Wade Woodaz, who both have thumb injuries, participated fully.
