Noah Brown, a wide receiver who previously played for the Dallas Cowboys, has officially signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team on Sunday. This addition brings an experienced and physical option to the Raiders' receiving lineup, prompting the team to release defensive tackle Benito Jones to make room.
Throughout his career, Brown has faced significant challenges, particularly injuries that caused him to miss 19 games during his time with the Washington Commanders. However, when healthy, he has demonstrated his skills, achieving 40 catches for 536 yards and one touchdown, with an average of 13.4 yards per reception.
Selected by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft following his college career at Ohio State, Brown gained a reputation for his reliability and versatility. He was particularly effective in the 2022 season, where he recorded 43 receptions for 555 yards and three touchdowns, aiding quarterback Dak Prescott.
After his stint with the Cowboys, Brown moved to the Houston Texans, where he had a successful season, making 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per catch. Over his NFL career, he has totaled 155 receptions for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns.
While the Raiders do not expect Brown to be the main focus of their offense, his size and experience could enhance their receiving group, providing him with a new opportunity to advance his career after injury setbacks in Washington.
