The Denison City Council is scheduled to receive a report and take action on an ordinance amending Chapter 5 of the Denison Code of Ordinances.
The proposed legislation would update local building regulations by adopting the National Fire Protection Association National Electrical Code, 2026 edition.
Staff currently operates under the 2023 National Electrical Code.
The new code would take effect on September 1st, 2026, following council approval.
