Día de los Muertos Festival

The Denison Arts Council presents its annual Día de los Muertos Festival at Heritage Park, with a main stage lineup of folkloric dancers, mariachi bands, belly dancers and singers beginning at 10 a.m., plus a parade at 2 p.m., a costume contest, a mercado and food vendors. The festival celebrates Mexican heritage and the Day of the Dead tradition, and downtown businesses will also display ofrendas during the week, the council says. The event is held on the first Saturday of November each year.
