Astros Offense Explodes in Middle Frames
The Houston Astros’ bats woke up in the middle innings to dismantle the Texas Rangers’ pitching staff, securing an 11-2 victory at Daikin Park. The game’s momentum shifted dramatically in the fifth inning when the Astros loaded the bases and unleashed a two-homer barrage that turned a close contest into a runaway lead.
After surrendering four runs in the early going, Houston answered with explosive power. In the fifth, Alex Bregman launched a 395-foot home run to left field, followed immediately by Kyle Tucker’s 428-foot shot to left center. These two long balls accounted for two of the team’s eventual 11 runs, breaking open what had been a tight game.
Rangers Pitching Stumbles Continue
The Texas Rangers’ starting pitcher, Nathan Eovaldi, struggled to contain Houston’s lineup. Eovaldi lasted five innings, allowing 10 hits and six earned runs while striking out five batters. He took the loss, dropping his record to 10-9.
Relievers Luis Curvelo and Nicky Lopez could not stem the tide. Curvelo pitched two innings, giving up four hits and four earned runs with four walks.
