Pederson Drives In Runs
Joc Pederson provided the offensive spark for the Texas Rangers, hitting two home runs to help secure a 7-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Monday at Globe Life Field. His first blast came in the opening inning, and his second in the second inning included two additional RBI hits, shifting the momentum in Arlington’s favor.
Pederson’s opening shot traveled 418 feet to center field in the top of the first inning, giving Seattle an early 1-0 lead. However, the Mariners’ advantage was short-lived. In the bottom of the second, Pederson connected again, this time driving the ball 347 feet to right field. The hit brought home Lopez and Díaz, turning a 1-1 tie into a 4-1 Rangers lead.
Rangers Extend Lead
The Rangers continued to pile on runs in the third inning. After Rodríguez hit a sacrifice fly to left to score Emerson, making it 4-2, Duran followed with a 436-foot home run to left center. The inning concluded with Burger hitting a 403-foot home run to left center, adding two more runs and extending the lead to 7-2.
Seattle managed to put a run on the board in the ninth inning when Crawford hit a sacrifice fly to left, scoring Naylor for a final score of 7-3.
