Four-run third gives Texas control
Texas turned the game in the third inning and kept San Francisco off the scoreboard the rest of the way, beating the Giants 6-0 on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field.
The Rangers’ third-inning surge began when Nimmo singled to right, scoring Langford for a 1-0 lead. Foscue followed with a triple to left that brought in Nimmo and Burger, pushing the margin to 3-0. Díaz then doubled to left, scoring Foscue and giving Texas a 4-0 advantage.
That inning accounted for four of the Rangers’ six runs and provided enough support for a pitching staff that allowed no runs.
Bradford sets the tone
Cody Bradford worked 4 1/3 innings for Texas, allowing five hits with no earned runs, two walks and five strikeouts. Tyler Alexander followed with 1 2/3 innings, allowing no hits or walks while striking out three, and earned the win to improve to 2-2.
Robby Ahlstrom pitched one inning, allowing one hit with one strikeout. Chase Silseth also worked one inning, giving up one hit and one walk while striking out one. Cole Winn pitched one inning, allowing one hit with no walks and no strikeouts.
Together, the five Texas pitchers held San Francisco to eight hits and no runs.
