Early Surge Defines Contest

Texas A&M established control almost immediately, capitalizing on a fast start to secure a decisive 34-7 victory over the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks at Kyle Field on Saturday. The Aggies (3-2) overwhelmed Arkansas (2-3) with a barrage of scoring in the opening period, setting a tone that the Razorbacks could not match for the remainder of the contest.

The momentum shifted quickly in the first quarter. Carsyn Baker punched it in from two yards out to give Texas A&M an early 7-0 lead, followed by a KJ Edwards 20-yard run that extended the margin to 14-0 before Arkansas could register any points.

The Razorbacks finally responded late in the period when Chris Marshall caught a 26-yard pass from KJ Jackson, bringing the score to 14-7 at the end of the first frame.

Second Half Seals Win

Texas A&M did not slow down after the break. Marcel Reed added his name to the scoreboard with a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, pushing the lead to 21-7. David Olano then drilled a 57-yard field goal just before halftime, making it 24-7.

The Aggies continued their dominance in the third quarter when KJ Edwards found the end zone again on a three-yard run, increasing the advantage to 31-7.

Arkansas failed to score in the final two quarters, unable to overcome the early deficit. David Olano closed out the scoring with a 50-yard field goal in the fourth period, finalizing the 34-7 result.
