The Houston Texans have confirmed the re-signing of tight end Louis Hansen, marking his return to the team after being waived in late July. Hansen initially joined the Texans in June and does not require a corresponding roster move for his reinstatement.

Hansen, who went undrafted in April, played college football at both the University of Michigan and the University of Connecticut. Throughout his collegiate career, he achieved 46 receptions totaling 463 yards and scored four touchdowns over 40 games.

The current tight end lineup for the Texans also features Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, second-round draft pick Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor. Details regarding Hansen's specific role within the team have yet to be disclosed.
