The Houston Texans are assessing the potential signing of cornerback Jaden Davis, who was formerly with the Arizona Cardinals. Recently, Davis was medically cleared to play and took part in a workout with the Texans, as reported by KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson on September 5.

Davis, selected in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft as the 226th overall pick, showcased his readiness through a workout video shared on social media. The Texans aim to strengthen their cornerback position, which has been affected by injuries since 2025.

Currently, Jalen Pitre, a safety, is stepping into the nickelback role, while Jaylin Smith, a third-round pick from the 2025 draft, has missed a considerable amount of time due to injuries.

The Athletic's draft guide highlighted Davis as one of the top remaining prospects. NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein noted his good foot speed and agility but mentioned that he needs to enhance his anticipation skills to be more effective in the NFL. Further updates regarding Davis's status and a possible signing with the Texans are anticipated as the situation progresses.
