The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a one-year contract extension with wide receiver Ryan Flournoy that would keep him under contract through the 2027 season. The deal is reportedly worth $6 million and is expected to be signed this week.
Flournoy was selected by Dallas in the sixth round of the 2024 draft. The extension prevents him from becoming a restricted free agent after the 2026 season and gives the Cowboys another year of control. Dallas waived him during its initial roster reductions in 2025, but he cleared waivers and later rejoined the organization through its practice squad.
That move replaced his original four-year rookie contract, leaving him with three years on the new deal and a potential restricted-free-agent season afterward.
The agreement comes before the Cowboys’ regular-season opener against the New York Giants. Flournoy is coming off a 2025 season the team described as a breakout campaign. The contract provides opportunities for him to continue developing in 2026 and 2027, while a longer agreement could remain possible later. Dallas also recently agreed to a three-year extension with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.
