Gronowski, who previously played for the Dolphins and Hawkeye Football, joins the Texans' practice squad. Gerhardt, selected in the seventh round of the 2026 draft, is recognized for his leadership and understanding of the game. He started 49 games during his college career and is expected to enhance the depth at the center position for the Texans.
Gerhardt will join Evan Brown and Jake Andrews on the offensive line, with first-round rookie Keylan Rutledge also part of the lineup. The Texans are focused on developing Gerhardt's skills, as he was drafted for his football intelligence and compatibility with the team’s culture.
