The NFL has fined the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints $500,000 each due to multiple fights during a recent joint practice. This decision follows a practice session that saw significant physical altercations, with reports indicating that over ten fights occurred, including pushing and shoving.

The latest incident involved Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, reportedly ignited by Ferguson's response to a tackle, which led him to throw the ball at Overshown. Fortunately, the situation was quickly resolved without further escalation.

Cowboys edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku was ejected for throwing a punch, marking his second ejection during training camp. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed his disappointment regarding the fights, noting that they hindered the team's ability to focus on practice. He stated that the team aims to concentrate on their training efforts.

With the joint practices now behind them, the Cowboys are preparing for their preseason matchup against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend. No additional information about the team's strategy or player conditions was shared.
