As the 2026 NFL season approaches, the Dallas Cowboys are entering Week 1 with a roster that is largely healthy. The team has been fortunate to avoid significant injuries during the offseason, and they are hopeful this trend will continue.
Currently, two players are dealing with injuries. Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard is recovering from an abs/groin issue. He was observed participating in rehabilitation activities on September 1, suggesting a possibility of playing in the season opener, although he may require more time for complete recovery.
Guard Ajani Cornelius, who has shown potential in training camp, is also on the mend. He was unable to practice on September 2 but was seen engaging in rehab work on September 1, which indicates he might be available for Week 1, contingent on his recovery progress.
Additionally, linebacker Marist Liufau and cornerback Devin Moore have been placed on injured reserve. Liufau suffered a fractured forearm during the preseason finale, necessitating surgery, while Moore is dealing with a hip injury after previously experiencing groin issues in training camp. Given Moore's injury history, his ability to contribute this season remains uncertain.
Updates on Bullard and Cornelius are anticipated as the week unfolds, while Liufau and Moore are expected to miss at least the first month of the season.
