The Dallas Cowboys will be without cornerback Cobie Durant, safeties Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke, and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown when they play the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. None of the four will travel to Rio de Janeiro after missing both of Dallas' practices on Wednesday and Thursday. The Cowboys and Ravens are each 1-1 this NFL season.
Durant, who joined Dallas this offseason after four seasons with the Rams, opened the first two games as a starter. He played 87 defensive snaps before a hamstring injury in last Sunday's victory over Washington, and he was expected to miss multiple weeks. Locke took 31 defensive snaps in that game before tearing the plantar fascia in his foot.
Hooker has been out since breaking his forearm during the opener against the New York Giants. He started that game but departed after 12 defensive snaps.
Overshown will sit out a second consecutive game because of the hamstring strain he sustained in the opener. He started against New York and recorded seven tackles before leaving. Jaishawn Barham is expected to have an expanded role against Baltimore, while second-year cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. is also expected to play more with Durant out.
The matchup is set for 3:25 p.m. CT at Maracanã Stadium, where Dallas is the home team. Sports.yahoo.com published the report.
