The Green Bay Packers have agreed to sign guard Laken Tomlinson from the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad, NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported. The move comes as Green Bay manages injuries along its offensive line. Aaron Banks and Zach Bako-Bewele missed Week 3, and Bako-Bewele will miss the rest of the season with a torn patellar tendon.
Tomlinson joined Dallas earlier this month after All-Pro guard Tyler Smith underwent thumb surgery and went on injured reserve. Tomlinson did not appear in the Cowboys’ first two games. Smith can return after Week 4.
Dallas now has offensive linemen Marcellus Johnson and Wanya Morris on its practice squad. Johnson is listed as a tackle and has not played in an NFL game, while Morris has played tackle on both sides during his three-year career.
Tomlinson, 34, was Detroit’s first-round pick in 2015. He has played in 173 games and started 162 across 11 NFL seasons, including a 2021 Pro Bowl selection with San Francisco. He also has played for the New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans, appearing in 10 games for Houston in 2025.
Green Bay has not provided details about his role or when he will debut. The Packers are scheduled to host Dallas in Week 6.
