In a recent volleyball match against TCU, Abby Vander Wal, an outside hitter for the Texas Longhorns, exited the game after suffering a knee injury. The injury took place during a play on the left side of the court, where she fell and stayed down, visibly holding her knee.

Assistance from the training staff was required to help her off the court, as she could not put weight on her leg. Vander Wal did not return for the rest of the set, which the Longhorns won by sweeping TCU. Prior to her injury, she had made two kills and her topspin serve contributed to two scoring runs for Texas.

Details about the extent of Vander Wal's injury have not yet been released, and the situation remains ongoing.
