Crandall Independent School District reports football player injured during practice

A student-athlete from Crandall High School was airlifted following a practice injury.

A student-athlete from Crandall High School in North Texas was transported by air to a hospital due to an injury sustained during practice on Wednesday, according to Crandall Independent School District (ISD).

The district shared on social media that a medical helicopter was called to land near the baseball fields at Crandall High School to assist in the transportation of the injured player for additional medical care.

Crandall ISD expressed its concern for the student and their family, urging the community to respect their privacy during this difficult time. No further information about the injury or the circumstances surrounding it has been provided. WFAA has reached out to the district for more details, which have not yet been clarified.
