The Dallas Cowboys have officially signed Von Miller, the NFL's active leader in career sacks, to a one-year contract. Miller announced the news through an Instagram post, sharing his enthusiasm with the phrase, "Hereee Weee Gooo."
A DeSoto, Texas native, Miller has a deep connection to the region, having played college football at Texas A&M. As he enters his 15th NFL season, he joins the Cowboys after a year with the Washington Commanders, where he recorded 26 tackles and nine sacks over 17 games.
Miller is a two-time Super Bowl champion, winning titles with the Denver Broncos in 2015 and the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. Drafted second overall by the Broncos in 2011, he has also played for the Buffalo Bills. With a total of 138.5 career sacks, he is tied for 13th all-time alongside DeMarcus Ware, a former Cowboy.
In addition to his sacks, Miller boasts 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles across 203 games. His impressive career includes eight Pro Bowl selections and three First Team All-Pro honors. The Cowboys are set to kick off their 2026 regular season on September 13 against the New York Giants in a Sunday Night Football matchup.
