Downtown Denison is preparing to host its first annual Rhythm & Rails Music Festival, an event designed to bring live music to the heart of the community.
Donna Dow, who serves as the Main Street Director for Downtown Denison, recently spoke with Caroline on the KXII program Talk of the Town about the upcoming celebration. The discussion highlighted the details of the city’s inaugural effort to showcase local talent and attract visitors to the downtown area.
The festival is scheduled to begin on Sept. 12. Concerts will take place at various locations throughout Downtown Denison, allowing attendees to move between venues as the day progresses.
Entertainment is set to continue late into the night, with performances running until 1 a.m. the following morning. The multi-venue format aims to spread foot traffic across the district and provide a diverse lineup of musical acts for residents and guests.
