A mural honoring Air Force veteran B.C. Thomas will be dedicated Oct. 10 at 401 W. Main St. in Denison, as part of the city’s Eisenhower birthday weekend, KXII reported.
Former classmates commissioned the artwork for Thomas, who graduated from Denison High School in 1960. Artist ARCY completed it in five days.
The piece also depicts two of Thomas’ relatives: early newspaper publisher B.C. Murray and Denison’s first mayor, L.S. Owings.
Denison Main Street director Donna Dow told KXII that Thomas plans to attend the dedication.
