The Texas Department of Transportation will fully close the southbound lanes of Highway 75 in Denison to facilitate bridge deck paving. The closure spans from Exit 67 near Loy Lake Road to the FM 691 entrance ramp. Crews are scheduled to close the lanes at 9 p.m. on Sept. 15 and reopen them at 5 a.m. on Sept. 16.
During this overnight window, southbound US 75 motorists will be detoured at Exit 67, which serves as the southbound exit to Loy Lake Road. Drivers will follow posted signs to re-enter southbound US 75 at the FM 691 entrance ramp. TxDOT noted that these closures are subject to delay or alteration due to weather, mechanical issues, or material supply problems.
A separate traffic pattern change begins at 9 a.m. on Sept. 16 to allow westbound Spur 503 motorists to cross over US 75 on the new Spur 503 bridge. After crossing, drivers will stop at an all-way stop and access the southbound frontage road.
This route leads to the new Texoma Health Foundation Park driveway, where motorists can turn right to enter the park or continue straight to FM 691.
Drivers heading to Texoma Health Foundation Park will use the new frontage road for access. Those traveling south on Highway 75 will need to take Exit 65 to Spur 503, proceed through the all-way stop intersection, and follow signs to the southbound frontage road to reach FM 691 and the hospital.
