Denison is hosting a community watch party to support Jadarian Price as he prepares for his first National Football League game. The event will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at George Tavern and is open to the public at no cost.
Price was selected with the 32nd overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, who are the current Super Bowl champions. Before his professional career began, he played high school football in Denison and graduated from Denison High School in 2022. He later attended Notre Dame, where he competed in the 2025 college national championship game.
Local officials and residents have expressed strong support for the athlete. Denison Chief PIO Emily Agans stated that the community wants to celebrate Price’s hard work and demonstrate their backing. She noted that the event will include raffles and giveaways, with proceeds benefiting the United Way of Grayson County, an organization Price supported.
Childhood friend Brianna Jenkins described Price as a significant figure for the area. Jenkins said residents had been following his progress closely even before he turned professional. Another local resident, Davis, remarked that people were already treating him like a pro while he was still in high school.
Agans emphasized that the gathering aims to be meaningful for both Price and the wider community. The watch party provides a centralized location for fans to view the game together.
