A crash between two semi trucks closed northbound U.S. 75 on the north side of Denison on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 6, and left debris spread across the highway.

Denison police were called around 4:15 p.m. to the Randall Lake Road ramp, KXII reported. KTEN placed the crash just south of State Highway 91, between exits 71 and 72.

Police told the stations that one truck was moving from the shoulder into the right lane to merge when a second truck failed to slow down in time and hit it from behind. The back of one rig was crushed and partly came loose, blocking both northbound lanes.

A KXII crew saw a trailer that had dropped wood or similar material across the road, and crews were working to clear it. Northbound traffic backed up as far as Texoma Drive, near several car dealerships, KXII reported.

Police said no one suffered life-threatening injuries, according to KTEN.
