The City of Denison is organizing a community event to honor Jadarian Price as he begins his professional football career with the Seattle Seahawks. The celebration will take place on Wednesday evening at George Tavern, located at 101 East Main Street, starting at 6 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to watch the NFL season-opening game between the New England Patriots and the Seahawks. In addition to the broadcast, the event includes raffles offering Seahawks merchandise and items signed by Price.
Emily Agans, a spokesperson for the City of Denison, noted that Price has been a long-standing member of the local community. She stated that the city wanted to create an occasion for residents to gather and express their pride in his achievements.
The proceeds generated from the raffle sales will be donated to the United Way of Grayson County. The event serves as a local tribute to the former Denison High School athlete, known locally as a Yellow Jacket, as he transitions to the professional level.
