Two women from Grayson County sustained injuries in a vehicle collision that occurred on Thursday afternoon on Sunbeam Road. The incident took place around 3:15 PM in the 400 block of Sunbeam Road, specifically at the intersection with Mulberry Street.

Emergency responders, including the Leitchfield Police, Fire Departments, and EMS, arrived at the scene to find that a Kia Rio, driven by an elderly woman from Leitchfield, was attempting to turn onto Mulberry Street when it collided with a Ford Escape operated by another woman from Grayson County.

Both vehicles were pushed off the road and ended up in ditches as a result of the impact. The elderly driver of the Kia was transported to Baptist Health Hardin by EMS, while the driver of the Ford Escape was taken to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center by private means.

Further details regarding the conditions of the injured women have not yet been provided.
