Denison, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.6060 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 29, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.6330 yesterday. That is up from $3.5980 a week ago but higher than $3.1310 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.6550, while the national average is $4.0910. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 48 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7810, drivers are paying about 82 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Sherman-Denison area averages $5.0670 per gallon, AAA reported.
