Denison, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.5820 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 20, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.5880 yesterday. That is up from $3.3230 a week ago but higher than $3.2370 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.5710, while the national average is $4.0030. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 34 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7660, drivers are paying about 82 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Sherman-Denison area averages $4.7330 per gallon, AAA reported.
