Denison, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.6030 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 18, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.6400 yesterday. That is up from $3.3470 a week ago but higher than $3.4310 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.5670, while the national average is $3.9920. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 17 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.8060, drivers are paying about 80 cents more per gallon.
