Denison, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.1560 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 6, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.1900 yesterday. That is up from $3.1310 a week ago but lower than $3.5020 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.3080, while the national average is $3.7970. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 35 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.6080, drivers are paying about 55 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Sherman-Denison area averages $4.1320 per gallon, AAA reported.
