Ruiz Food Products Inc. has hired Jared Vitemb to serve as senior vice president and general counsel. The company, which identifies itself as the largest manufacturer of frozen Mexican food in the United States, announced the appointment on July 14, 2026.
Vitemb arrives at Ruiz from Farmer Brothers Co., a coffee roaster and wholesaler based in Fort Worth, Texas. At that previous employer, he held the titles of vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer, and corporate secretary. His duties there included managing legal, communications, risk and safety, compliance, and human resources operations.
Kimberli Carroll, president and chief executive officer of Frisco, Texas-based Ruiz Foods, stated that Vitemb brings significant legal expertise to the executive leadership team. She highlighted his background in navigating complex corporate transitions and his legal acumen as assets for advancing the company's business strategy.
In his new role at Ruiz, Vitemb will lead the company-wide legal function and serve as the primary legal advisor to the CEO, the board of directors, and the executive leadership team. He will work with internal stakeholders and external counsel to oversee regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and corporate governance.
His responsibilities also include managing contract negotiations, litigation, and the protection of the company’s intellectual property and brand portfolio.
Vitemb has experience as a business attorney in both large law firms and in-house positions, where he advised corporate boards and management teams on various legal matters. He holds both a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from the University of Texas.
