Cigna Healthcare announced Oct. 6 that it plans to begin rolling out Health Sense in early 2027, initially for eligible customers with oncology and cardiometabolic health needs.
The company describes Health Sense as a customer-support and clinical-support model that combines information about care, benefits, coverage, costs and previous interactions. Cigna says it will use AI-supported technology and clinical expertise within existing services, including myCigna and care-management programs.
Support will depend on customers’ benefits, circumstances and needs, according to the company. Cigna expects to add other conditions and services as it measures results. Treating providers will remain responsible for diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Cigna has an established connection to Denison, Texas: the city’s fiscal 2025 annual financial report lists the company among its principal employers.
