Denison Council to Vote on Grayson County Fire and Ambulance Contract

Contract Overview

The City of Denison will receive a report and hold a discussion regarding the proposed Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Grayson County.

The council is scheduled to take action on approving the contract for fiscal year 2027. The agreement covers fire protection and emergency ambulance services for residents in unincorporated areas within the city designated operating territory.

Financial Terms and Payment Schedule

As consideration for the services provided, Grayson County will pay $28,051.00 per month.

Payments are due by the 10th day of each month, beginning October 10, 2026. The City will retain responsibility for all billing and collection procedures associated with ambulance services.

Service Responsibilities and Authorization

The proposed agreement continues a historical arrangement between the two jurisdictions.

It establishes coverage from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. Council approval would authorize the Mayor to execute the contract.
