Board Composition

The Greater Texoma Utility Authority operates as a conservation and reclamation district in Grayson County.

It provides water and wastewater services while facilitating cooperation between local governments.

The board consists of eight members representing Denison, Sherman, Gainesville, and small member municipalities.

Vacancy Details

Stanley Thomas previously held Place 2 on the board before resigning.

Kristofor Spiegel resigned from Place 1 earlier this year.

Both positions were serving unexpired two-year terms that require replacement.

Appointment Process

The city council will review a report and discuss the selection of Charles Pool and David Spindle.

Both candidates are Denison residents who meet eligibility requirements.

Each would serve the remainder of the unexpired term through its conclusion.
