Denison, Texas — The Cowboys have added Will Grier to their offensive staff, moving the former quarterback into a coaching post before camp.
Grier entered the NFL as Carolina’s 2019 third-round choice. His two earlier Dallas stops centered mainly on preseason work and practice squads.
He will now serve on Brian Schottenheimer’s staff, again working in the same organization as Dak Prescott.
The July 24 announcement followed Grier’s retirement from playing. ESPN reported that his decision came July 15 after an offseason spent with the Panthers.
